Never Go Into the Park at Night

[Rahne "Wolfsbane" Sinclair]

January 2nd. Open to All.
Time: Around 10pm

"ACH. I cannae believe I missed th'train! This's just all kinds of stupidity." Actually the stupidity lay with Rahne moving herself through the central park paths late at night. Every New Yorker knew that young women who stepped into the famous park at night alone could end up harassed, raped or worse. But Rahne was nowhere near a New Yorker. In fact the lights in the city were not the only thing that fascinated her. The plush green jungle of a park had called to her wild side and she felt comfortable walking through the trees to get to the East Side where she would try and find her way to Grand Central Station. Unfortunately for the female, she wasn't headed there at all.

She passed the Central Park Zoo, her booted feet crunching on the leaf drifted sidewalk as she made her way past the visible zoo. She gripped the bars slightly with a gloved slender hand as she smiled at the animals she could see.

However a rustle behind her caused the wolf-girl to turn. Her head lifted, green orbs widened as she saw someone approaching. "Hey pretty girl," came the black clad pale skinned youth before her. Rahne could smell his lust and smell his bad intentions. She was reluctant to use her powers but she was indeed scared as he approached.

"Ah...ah..." She couldn't form words as she looked about and saw two more boys approach. Her back was against the metal. Rahne was trapped.

It was one of those rare nights that Banner would allow himself some free time outside the lab. The park was the perfect excuse Bruce had nearly forgotten that there was a whole forest hidden inside the park, complete with whole herds of deer roaming around.

Trouble

that was the one thing that irked the doctor the annoyed voice in the back of his head for Bruce the word meant get the hell out of there before you destroy the whole god damn place. Bruce then saw the small group of men and the victim they had surrounded

Trouble Hulk's voice insisted, now Bruce was uneasy.

"Hey!" Bruce had no clue why he was doing this. It would only lead to trouble. "Leave her alone" the doctor's voice wavers slightly.

[Wade "Deadpool" Wilson]

"Oh no, I totally look like a normal person walking around in a red and black suit at ten at night, especially around New York when I'm equipped with weapons. Nobody would suspect I'm a dangerous person!" Deadpool muttered to seemingly no one but himself. Why was he out and about on that night? "Um, aren't I out and about because you threw me in here? Oh! I was going to get a milkshake, so I did, then I chugged it all down, and now I'm burning off about three calories by walking over to Central Park. That's... exciting. Oh hey, it's a zoo. Do they have any fluffy bunnies?" Clearly lost in his own world and oblivious to a young woman getting surrounded by a group of thugs, until he heard Bruce speak up and yelling at the males who surrounded Rahne. Deadpool felt a need to do something. He needed to do something besides look at some random bunnies at the zoo. "Hey. I wanted to look at those bunnies, by the way, but I can work with this. I speak thug."

The Merc with a Mouth was no longer distracted by the zoo and far more focused on the men, approaching them with confidence and a swagger in his step. "Hey! Yo, my bros, leave the lady alone, my homeboys. We don't want this getting ugly, do we? I mean, I would love to go ahead and strangle y'all, or pop a cap in all yo' asses, but I'm feeling surprisingly generous tonight after drinking my milkshake. That doesn't mean I ain't willin' to beat on y'all, you know what I'm sayin'?" Deadpool spoke in an extremely mocking accent, his own version of 'thug speak.'

This could only end well.

Rahne turned to see two men rush to her rescue. Chivalrousness, if stupid, they were still outnumbered. She'd never seen the males before which caused her to raise an eyebrow at the second man. not entirely at his attire, although this made her pause, it was more at the way he were speaking so casually to them. They turned, sneered and flicked out a few pocket knives which caused Rahne to tense up. Such rudeness would nae be tolerated in her hometown. She blinked her large green orbs a few times before turning back to her assailants.

She could technically take them on but she didn't want to end up naked. Or sinning.

"Ye'll bust a what in their what?" Rahne questioned to the red and black clad man. The group shook their heads and started forward on the young mutant. It seemed they would not be deterred.

[Jason Tampson(Mecha)]

Not far away another brave man would jump into the mix. Jason was simply walking out on the park tonight because it was a day off for him and he had a specific thing keeping him awake. Today was the day after new year's and he made TONS of revolutions as the ball dropped on the square. He was there to see it but he made sure no one saw him on the television. He wasn't a TV guy and more importantly he wanted to make a name for himself before he went all crazy for the public. He would keep his birth name but would have a different life. So that was pretty much his main revolution: Make a good life of what he had.

Suddenly he saw muggers near a young girl and two men standing for her. One of the muggers swore offensively to the masked man and the other just gave a sneering look to the young girl. Jason couldn't help but perk up, this was his chance. This was his chance to be a better man. Quickly he went over and went right next to the girl, making sure to click his disguise human voice on, and bravely responded "Leave the poor girl alone. She's just a kid. You have no right to assault her. Especially when you don't know her. I'd advice to walk away" If the muggers kept going, he would use his robotic/human voice to put fear into them and maybe even get physical, but if not then jason would stay quietly and protectively for the girl

[Dr. Bruce Banner/Hulk]

"I must insist" Bruce says now walking toward them blood pressure rising at the sight of the knives. Oh god, what am i doing? he whines to himself as keeps on walking forward passed Deadpool who he swore he saw somewhere before. Giving him a soft mutter of "do something more useful" before his gaze returns to the girls assailants.

[Artemis Crock]

“Looks like you’re outnumbered.” The feminine voice called out from the night. She had her arrow at the ready, loaded with an arrow meant to trap, not kill. She’d zeta’d home from Mount. Justice and was walking her way back home when she heard the commotion. Something told her the three men could have handled the muggers themselves, but Artemis never walked away from someone in trouble. No matter how much she wished she could have. It had been a tough day for training, Nightwing’s training was almost as tough as Dinah’s. She could handle it and so much more, but she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t glad to be going home to her bed.

Steely gray eyes narrowed even further at the men as they didn’t move, even with her own warnings plus the other threes. The impatient archer was half tempted to just shoot the bastards and call it night, no doubt her mother was getting worried, but she held her grown. If they backed away that would be it, but if they continued to advance on the girl she wouldn’t wait.

“Now back off or I hope for your sake I loaded a non-lethal arrow.” She growled.

It looked like Deadpool's thug speak was a bit rusty. Huh. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to get involved in this situation. Deadpool contemplated on backing out of this situation, especially with all these guys around that could take care of it. Even the newcomer chick looked like she could handle it. It hit him that he recognized all of these people, save for one. Banner and Rahne were Marvel characters, as was he. This newcomer, however, was Artemis. Deadpool recognized her as a DC character, but a comic character nonetheless. He didn't recognize Jason, but he seemed tough enough. Deadpool remembered that Rahne was a part of the X-Men. A mutant. Could she not just use her special mutant powers to get out of the situation? Deadpool was about to suggest that very thing.

But he heard something come out of Bruce's mouth that pushed him to stay. "Oh, something more useful you say?" he sneered, taking the statement as a challenge. "Oh ho ho, I'll show you something more useful. Especially if you won't do anything else about it, Jolly Green." Deadpool, being the show-off he was, didn't think much when he grabbed one of the thugs and jerked him away from the group. "You're seriously gonna sneer at me, a guy armed to the teeth, when you've got nothing but a knife? That's funny. I remember a saying that goes don't bring a knife to a gunfight. Maybe if I legitimately pop a cap in your head, things will get serious."

With his free hand, Deadpool reached for the pistol in its holster. Flipping it around casually as he removed it, he kept in pointed in the air. "M'kay, let's either settle this with this all of your brains splattered on the streets, or let's leave the lady alone, shall we?"

[Rahne "Wolfsbane" Sinclair]

"Och, this did certainly turn itself intae a wee bit o' trouble for ye, did it no'?" Rahne turned her green orbs towards the gentlemen before her. A gang of about six thugs, Rahne was sure they had some sort of up on them. Especially when the black and red clad big mouth pulled out his gun.

"Hang on a tic...GUN?!" Rahne rushed to Deadpool's side, placing a gentle hand on his arm. "Have ye lost yuir mind man? Are ye plain daft? Ye cannae fire tha' here! People might see ye!" Rahne heard the girl approach as Rahne turned her head. One of the muggers was advancing quite quickly on the male who wore the hat. She sighed and closed her eyes.

"Ach...sod it." With that the mugger approaching the man in the hat would see a thick bodied russet furred wolf spring upon him. Her jaws were open as she lept on him, pushing his body into the ground. With that, the other men approached, shouting genetic slurs at her. Her ears flattened but she continued to keep the man at bay with her paws pressed into his skin.

Jason turned to the girl and gave a small shrug, he knew this was a problem but he was willing to deal with it. He also WAS prepared to fight but he didn't expect the girl he was trying to help save him, by turning into a wolf. The man restrained was shocked apparently, for he didn't move but the other man was going quickly at the wolf-girl and Jason took action and fast. He clicked on his robotic/human voice because this was now serious, and that voice was his ACTUAL one but he used the disguise one for he loved it a lot, grabbed the other man's jacket and pinned him down also. He turned to Deadpool, Banner and Artemis responding hurriedly but firmly "Get the other three! They are threats also![/b]"

At the sound of this, the other three thugs went to the other bystanders willing to help Rahne. One of them was with deadpool seemingly aiming a punch, another to artemis to try and snatch her bow, the final one went to bruce and seemed to also want to punch the man. Jason kept the second man in his vice-like grip and his eyes, if you looked hard enough, were beginning to glow red. Jason adjusted his hat and growled "I warned you to walk away. I am not one to be taken lightly[/b]"

the next thing Bruce remembers was the sound of Hulk's enraged roar from deep within his skull and that familiar crunching sensation as the Hulk took control and and bursting forth. Within a split second Bruce's attacker had been throw into a nearby tree his legs breaking upon impact but the jade giant could care less about that. Hulk turns from faceing the now crippled man, green eyes blazeing with anger to the others of the group.

"Puppy" Hulk rumbles upon seeing the wolf.

It was as if Deadpool's common senses were tingling, a rare occurrence that was. As much as Deadpool hated to agree, Rahne had a point. There were witnesses to see if he shot someone here. It wasn't exactly hard to miss the red and black clad male running around with katanas on his back and pistols snug in holsters on his hips. Deadpool let out an exasperated sigh, slightly lowering his weapon. "OK, fine, so I'll just pistol-whip him in the face and call it good, no biggie. It doesn't count as shooting him," the older male responded once Rahne put a calming hand on his arm. When she transformed into a wolf, he instantly did exactly as he said he would. Pistol-whip the male that was attacking him right in the face.

"Ooh, that's gotta sting. Did it hurt when you fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch too?" Deadpool, not being an entirely sane individual, was actually taunting his opponent. He glanced over at Jason, shuddering at that robot voice he had. "OK, he did not have that voice five minutes ago. I know I'm crazy, but that's creepy right there." Just after Deadpool said that, Hulk was launching a dude into trees.

"...You know, I'm gonna take back that Jolly Green comment I made a couple posts ago."

[Rahne "Wolfsbane" Sinclair]

"What are ye talkin' aboot ye daft man?"

Rahne had turned, her voice deepened by a snarl as she turned her head, wolflike as it was, towards the male. She'd shifted into her werewolf form, claws flashing on her hands. She raked her claws across the man beneath her's face. She rose. Her clothes draped off of her which caused her eyes to widen. She shifted back into full wolf form before she moved towards the male in the hat. Her ears flicked back, eyes upwards as she pushed herself towards another person, she started to snarl, her lips raising upwards.

The man Jason was grabbing struggled in his fear and Jason just kept his grip tighter. Jason then mumbled to the man before him "If you or your little insignificant friends go near a innocent soul in this town again, I assure you I will not be so sparing. Now take your friends and leave" With that, Jason picked up the man he was carrying, threw him to the ground and glared calmly. Jason after a while turned to Rahne and smirked calmly "Quite a power you have there. It may have been enough to get rid of the six but I'm glad I came by anyway"

As Jason spoke, the man he threw called for his friends in frightened swears and ran off instantly. Jason wasn't paying attention though, he was more concerned with his werewolf-like ally. Jason walked over to the wolf and responded "Were you hurt before me and the others got here?[/b]"

Rahne's ears flicked back and she gave a small whimper and a whine. Canine vocal chords made it impossible for her to tell the man how she was feeling and there was no way she was going to expose herself by changing back into human form. It was one of the rather annoying parts of her powers. After all, werewolves and wolves didn't wear clothing. Her mass increased and changed and doing so ripped her shirt and pants and everything else.

She moved her paws and nudged the man's hand with her nose to let him know she was fine. She may have gotten nicked in the scuffle with the male earlier but she was okay now; it'd been more fear than anything.

Now if she could only let him know she needed a jacket or a robe or something to cover herself up so she could change back...
