Swallowing hard, Kitty shot a worried glance at Kevin, shaking her head ever-so-slightly. She could only cross her fingers and pray, though, that he wouldn't slip up and mention Xavier. Or the school. Or being a mutant. Or anything. Please, please, please, let him keep his mouth shut. Please? "I've only been to Gotham once, with a couple friends of mine. We had to pick up someone, it was real quick," The brunette tried, working her way around putting in the details. She had gone with a few of her fellow X-Men to retrieve a Mutant that they thought should be brought back to Xavier's.
Of course, the person turned them down, wanting to lead a normal life, but Kitty had always though that was dumb. They were mutants. Nothing about them was normal. Not that the Southern girl was ashamed of that, whatsoever. So was proud to be a mutant, and loved every minute of being an X-Man.
Nodding her head, the hazel-eyed girl smiled at his words. Sure, she really didn't want to go anywhere with a regular human, but Kevin seemed okay. He was pretty funny, actually. "Sure, I think I saw a Starbucks a little ways back, I could use some coffee before I have to head back," Kitty agreed, only realizing after she spoke that only Kevin would understand where 'back' was. Nonetheless, she meant it about wanting coffee, the trip back to Westchester wouldn't be short, so having some caffeine in her system sure would help.

Tara hadn't thought much of Kevin's slip-up. She just decided it wasn't important enough to look into. He also didn't think much of it when Katherine said she only went to Gotham once to pick up someone. Not too many people were keen on going over there, as far as Tara could tell. Sure, she made the ocassional trip there, but most of her time was spent in the big city. When Kevin suggested they go grab a cup of coffee at Starbucks, Tara wasn't going to decline the invitation. It was cold, she could use a quick drink to wake her up a bit, and she wasn't ready to go home. At least, not just yet.
"I'd be up for a cup of coffee," Tara responded, attitude not quite so harsh anymore. These people didn't seem too bad from what she'd seen. She dismissed Kitty's comment about going back. She simply assumed the girl meant back home, nothing more. No need to pry into everyone's personal life. If Tara didn't ask about someone else's life, they wouldn't feel obligated to ask about her own. It was a fair trade in her mind. For now, all that was on her mind was getting somewhere warmer than outside.
Although, there was one piece of personal information she'd give out. She hadn't stated her name. That might have been a good idea. "Name's Sullivan, by the way."
