((Selina's made a trip to New York ladies and gents. January 16th. Open to all. c:))
Selina liked a night out as much as the next girl. A flashy dress, pair of shiny jewels, maybe a glitzy rock or two on some rings on a nice dinner with a handsome man she'd met last weekend.
But tonight, she was Catwoman. Though jewels weren't exempt from this night and New York had plenty to offer. It was even easier than Gotham, which made it nice.
All she had to fear here were police officers. In Gotham you had thugs and police alike. But not even the cops had fully caught onto her yet. Occasionally she'd showed up in the papers in an article somewhere, but recently someone had a good picture of her, gliding in the sky from her bullwhip latched to a flag post on a roof.
She was a mysterious figure in New York, and it felt invigorating. Plus it helped to get away from the dreadful rumors revolving around Batman. His family believed him to be dead. Bruce was alive, Selina had left with him. But she was never meant for a stable lifestyle, and had once again; left.
She skid down an angled rooftop, sliding straight into a brick wall, bouncing off of it shabbily, using it to break the fall, and landed expertly on the ground, crouched with one hand between her boots.
Then she straightened up, lifting the red goggles to rest on the cowl of her mask on her head, and tentatively looking around her. She was in an alleyway, one end leading down a dark questionable corner, the other opening up to the bright world known as time square. She sighed, but attention was drawn by a drawled meeeoooowww near a garbage can.
A cat. Always a sign of comfort for here.
"Hello darling." Selina purred back, in a sultry voice, as she stroked the feline when it had leaped atop the can to greet her. For now, she would stick to the shadows and lay low while bonding with the cat.

"Max! Max come back!"
Justin had lost his cat. His companion, the only little slice of farmland in his little New York apartment. Justin had always loved animals. ALWAYS. He'd spent days on his family farm playing with the dogs, taking in stray kittens and feeding the horses. So when he'd been told he'd only be allowed to have cats in his apartment he was devastated. But he took advantage of that. He now had two cats named after 2 characters in his favorite musical. Ula, the female was a cream white little lady who was content to sit on his lap while he rubbed between her shoulders.
Max was the troublemaker however, a feline male who often tried to dart out of the door. Now, however, he had done it.
Justin followed the cat until he saw him dart down an alley. He stared towards the ebony male as he watched the long thin fingernails of a woman in a costume stroking the cat's fur. He approached, hands in his pockets as he smiled up at her. "Looks like you made a friend, Max," he said with a shy nod.
She must have been a hero he'd never heard of.

Selina turned around sharply when she heard a voice behind her, but visibly relaxed, shoulder dropping when she laid eyes on the intruder. She cracked a smile, a mischievous one when his head bobbed in a nod. What a shy little thing. These types rarely proved to hold Selina's interest, she liked 'em fierce. But maybe... for a short time, he would prove fun to tease.
"Max huh..." she addressed the cat, carefully picking him up and only breaking eye-contact with the man when the feline was raised to her level. "He knows how to pick 'em then.... Max." and she shifted a sideways grin to Justin again, as the cat purred eagerly against her jaw. She closed the gap between them with a stroll that reeked of confidence, and extended the feline to return him to his owner.
"And how's it hangin' with you, handsome?" she spoke in a low sultry voice, the corners of her lips tugging upwards as she watched his reaction carefully. Like a bad child stifling her amusement. Selina was no hero, or at least she figured she didn't fit their self-important standards.

Steve was out on a jog, running to keep himself from going insane. While being able to relax was nice, it also gave him more time to think. To think about all of the mistakes he had made. Despite it being seventy years later, he still regretted not giving Peggy the coordinates. If he had they would have been able to be together. And there wasn't a day that he didn't miss Peggy and the 40's. So much had changed. He had gone from being the only superhero in existence to one of what felt like hundreds.
And New York. His hometown was another one of those things that he still couldn't believe. It was just... Stunning there now. All of the technology was disgusting yet fascinating at the same time. One could hardly even run there, now! Why, with all of the tourists, it was so congested compared to the 40's! But of course, the locals weren't much better. Stark was no exception.
Running a free hand through his blonde locks, he let his blue eyes flick to look at Stark towers. Steve still found it surprising that the son of Howard could be such a jerk. Howard had been such a good guy. Despite having saved the world and all, Stark was still stuck up.
Shaking his head, the hero carried on, slowed to a walk with all of the people bustling around him. Slowing to a stop as the walking sign flicked to the red hand sign, Steve let out a huff, turning to look around. Raising an eyebrow, he saw a man and a lady dressed as a... Cat? She didn't look like any hero he had ever seen, before, nor did she look like any villain Steve had encountered before. Taking note of the civilian man near her, he steered off of his course. Normally he wouldn't be worried, as woman weren't the ones to be capable of doing... Incredible things, but Natasha and Peggy had both proved that wrong to him.
"Hello," Steve smiled, offering up a wave upon taking a few steps closer to the pair.

Her eyes lit up instantly, and she could practically feel a steady thrum of pleasure in her own chest. Well well, she had certainly hit the jack-pot hadn't she? Luck had out-done itself this evening, fully and truly with this pair. Selina didn't hesitate to throw a pleased smile in Steve's direction, tilting her head as she openly examined him.
"Well I just seem to be the luckiest girl in New York, huh?" she remarked. Selina moved on from the timid man, as charming as he was, after she'd made sure the cat was secured in his arms. There was a slickness in her step, as she sidled up to the blond buff man.
A black gloved hand rested on his chest, running sidelong down his pectorals as she angled around his side, stepping behind him and doing a circle, until she reached his other side, and leaned against his large, firm arm.
"You know sweety, you remind me of someone I once knew." Selina regarded him with a bright smile, but there was a shine of mischief in her eye.
She could be called many things, but shy was not among them.

"Yeah-uh-he-he does." Justin grinned, dipping his head down. He was an awkward little thing, born and raised in the midwest where girls like this cat-lady would have been...frowned upon. But he liked her, she seemed pretty cool. Maybe a hero, a hero who SHIELD wasn't aware of. Which seemed quite odd. He let the girl keep his cat entertained. Perhaps that would mean the feline wouldn't run away.
He turned towards Steve and brightened up. "WOW! CAP!" He blushed slightly but still retained his fanboy smile. He was still a SHIELD agent despite being in jeans and a t-shirt under his coat. He turned his head towards Rogers and started to stammer. "WOW, I was-just-ah-chasing my-ah-cat sir when I..." He paused and turned over his shoulder at Selina.
"My apologies miss...I..." He watched the girl approach Cap and just stayed silent.

Blue orbs growing wide, Steve watched cautiously as the cat-lady graciously glided around him. A small part of the man was intrigued in her, but the greater, old-fashioned part of him was screaming that this was truly no way for a lady to act, suited up or not. Shifting slightly, he allowed his eyes to follow her. If working with Agent Romanov taught him one thing, it was to never trust a lady in a suit. Women nowadays were far more sly and cunning than they were back in his day. Shifting backwards, the hero moved to bring both the lady and the guy into his vision.
"Uh, thank you?" Cap responded to the lady, his response turning out far more like a question, though. Seventy years and he still wasn't one bit better at talking to women. No surprise there.
Of course, the man was the on to capture his attention as he called him by his hero alias name. Cocking an eyebrow, Steve tried to remember if he had seen him from anywhere. "Do I... Do I know you from somewhere?" He asked, vaguely recognizing the man before himself. Maybe he saw him on the news or something...?

Selina hardly seemed to notice the man who had initially seen her. Instead she was entirely engulfed within a world that mostly consisted of Steve's muscles. Heck, she was a girl of taste. Why shouldn't she admire something nice? Shameless. When his attention shifted to the timid man, Selina busied herself with slipping back up to her side, resting her hands on his shoulders and interlacing her fingers and putting her chin on top.
She extended her neck just a tad, pushing upwards on her tippy toes to reach well enough that she could snap forward, as if she were going to take a bite at Steve's jaw but fell short. If his attention had been grasped as successfully as she'd hoped, Selina would supply an innocent smile and bat her eyes, before causing a further distraction.
"Look at this face..." she purred, reaching a hand to clasp her fingers around Steve's jaw gently, "Isn't this a face women would just die for?" she suddenly directed her attention, and question to Justin. But she hardly waited for an answer. Her lips were alarmingly close to the side of Steve's face, and for a moment there was a tenseness that suggested she might pull him into a kiss.
Put she pushed his face away with the hand she had set on his jaw, and propelled away from his side. The tease. Selina had noted the excitement that was shed upon seeing the tall blond attractive mad, and made a mental note to find out what this 'Cap' business was about, if she didn't discover it here, tonight.
((Hope you don't mind the uuh... 'groping.' It's not intended to come off as god-modey, but let me know if you don't like! xwx))

The cat was on the prowl.
Felicia was dressed in Black Cat garb, thin mask managing to conceal her identity. Funny how it seemed like such a thin piece of fabric had the ability to hide her true colors. Leesh had been on the hunt for somewhere to go. Where? Somewhere that caught her eye. Jewels were often eye-catching, though tonight Black Cat had wanted to try something different. More exotic, one could say. It seemed as if someone was beating her to the punch with jewels anyway. The papers depicted yet another lady with a cat motif.
Coincidentially enough, it seemed as if Ms. Hardy found said other woman. Felicia was standing on a rooftop above the alleyway, smirk forming on her lips as she crouched much like a cat above the group. Looked like a heist was going to be put off for the night. She whipped her head in order to remove ivory strands away from her face, debating with herself on whether she should reveal her presence or not. Seeing as how another 'cat burglar' had done so, it wouldn't hurt. The young woman lifted herself up and leapt downwards to make her own appearance. Once on the ground, she lifted herself up once more. A fur-lined glove reached her hip, the other brushing her light colored locks back.
"As a woman, I can say that he has quite the chiseled features. The cat's meow, if I dare say so myself," Felicia purred, inviting herself into the conversation.

Selina turned sharply upon hearing a new voice introduced to the scene. She arrived too suddenly, so she could safely assume the woman had been watching from a distance for at least a short while. But Selina took it in stride, allowing a slick grin, eyeing up the other female.
This was without a doubt, The Black Cat. And it was perhaps her city, but Selina had never been one to leave anything off limits.
"Nearly purrfect.." Selina indulged in some word play, "Look better with a girl on his arm..." she commented, before throwing the poor man a quick, and mighty shameless wink. But then her attention was given back to the pale haired woman before her, once she'd finished her flirting.
"My, my. Looks like I wasn't the only one with the great idea to take a stroll tonight." she commented, taking careful steps to approach the other suited lady. "What a shame." she teased with mock disappointment, "Could'a had both these lovely boys to myself." she remarked, tilting her chin upwards when she was closer to the woman. Still, she was a safe distance.

New York. The Big Apple. The one place on Earth that breeds most hatred for one another that Peter had ever seen. Peter sat crouched on the Empire State Building and he looked down across the horizon as the sun began to set criminals loved to come out at night no clue why but it might have something to do with the fact they think that people can't see them. Oh boy these guys were regular scholars. Peter began his usual patrol of the city and so far things were quiet but when he came to the Times Square a certain..gathering of sorts caught his interest. Peter dropped down to a rooftop silently and watched the interaction. Two women in tight leather cat suits hitting on the blond guy? Lucky bastard. Peter recognized Black Cat from the radio and news reports describing a cat burglar fitting her...description.
Peter hung down from a webline attached to the rooftop and his shadow was cast down on the group. Peter cleared his throat as he began to speak. "Ya know I don't think an alleyway is the best place for a party specially when one of the guests is an alleged jewel thief. I would have to search you but if you surrender quietly Black Cat. Yeah I know who you are then I might ask the cops to give you an extra bit of catnip before lockup."
Peter might have been right about Black Cat but he was unaware that Catwoman was wanted in Gotham for the same crimes. Things were going to get interesting.

Selina froze. Her head raised, gaze following to the owner of someone accusing a jewel thief. A diamond necklace felt really hot, secured in the side of her boot right now. If those leather ears were truly apart of her, they'd probably be straight backwards right now, as she uncomfortably tried to think of a quick witty line to return.
Black Cat?
"OH! Her!" Selina exclaimed, quickly closing her mouth. Real smooth. She laughed it off casually enough, easing into a state of comfort.
"Why don't you come on down here, sweetness. Lemme see if you're as cute as you sound under that mask of yours." Selina cooed. He sounded young, but it was up for debate since the mask did in fact serve its purpose. Perhaps it was how he stopped to give some clever line before he bothered to jump down on the burglar.

Peter kept his eyes on the people below as one of the women made a comment toward him. She looked a bit nervous when Peter mentioned a burglar. The fact that she blurted out the comment about Black Cat being the one he was talking about made it all the more suspicious. She was hiding something.
"I can see just fine up here thanks. I have enough on my plate dealing with one cat themed cat burglar I don't need two. Spider is not on the menu for today." Peter was getting suspicious of her first the outburst second was the quick banter she was shooting in Peter's direction. She wanted him distracted but from what.
"Since you're new here I'm giving you a pass but only if you come clean and give me whatever it is you stole and promise not to do it again." Yeah right. The second she hands it over Peter is going to web her up along with Black Cat and let New York's finest deal with them.

"Oh but I can't see you..." she purred, putting her hands on her waist and shifting her weight to her left foot. She'd hardly made a hit on the jewelers shop, just a couple necklaces and gem encrusted bands, a small amount in that they could fit snugly and securely in her boots.
"Come clean?" she asked, looking entirely sincere in her confusion. "Well I'm afraid I'm not sure what you're on about?" she shifted her lips, giving a confused shift of her eyebrows.
This kid made her anxious, so she decided it would be best to stay wary.
"'Sides? Where am I going to hide somethin' flashy anyways?" she asked, parting her arms to fully display how slick and tight of her costume really was. Fit snug.
"Don't suppose you know what he's talking about with this stealing business?" she directed the question to the other feline Lady, giving a shrug, and then a look of innocence to the so called, Cap.

"Now now darling, we can share now can't we?" Felicia responded with a wink at the other female in the area. This night certainly took an interesting turn. First, the pale-haired woman was going to take a trip to rob someone of their pretty peridots, but it looked like things didn't go as planned. Blue orbs rolled over to see a shadow appear. Webhead. Leesh managed to let out a laugh.
"C'mon now, Spidey, let's not tell the police about this. I'm clean, catnip free, and the only necklace I have is the one around my neck."
Oddly enough, the other suited woman had reacted strangely. Icy gaze wandered over to Selina. Perhaps they had more in common than just cats. Looks like Spider-Man had caught on as well. Though Black Cat had an opportunity to rat out the other woman by suggesting her boots, gloves, or possibly even ears, Leesh decided against it. Those were some of the hiding places that Ms. Hardy had come up with anyways.
"Afraid not. I suppose he just can't appreciate some beautiful women in tight clothing, eh?"
