((January 21st. Open to all Bats 'n birds with access to the cave. c:))
She'd entered in the late morning with a plan in mind, laptop in hand. Babs had been working on this concept for more than enough time, and after all her studies and results, she was convinced it was time to start taking some real actions. Put the plan in motion. But to do that she needed materials and technology that only the wealth and secrecy that the Wayne mansion could offer.
She figured it was about noon now, and she'g gained enough progress. She had a work table stationed not far from the computer system, so she could comfortably roll back and forth between the two area's.
On the table, it looked like something similar that Bruce had worn in his later days; a leg brace of sorts with complicated mechanisms. Only this, looked much more advanced, and enhanced.
"Almost there.." she murmured, as she twisted a screw into place, locking the last bit of the brace that would click safely around her thigh.
And then the pain came; searing, hot and strong. It started at the base of her spine, it always did, and then worked down her thighs, her calves and ankles, reaching the very core of her systems. It had happened often, since the incident.
Pains that she'd been enduring. Barbara gasped, clenched fist falling to the table, the other clawing at the surface, outstretched. There was something bittersweet about these pains, she had to remind herself, as her red hair fell in a curtain over her visage.
It indicated that there was living nerves to some extent, still in her legs. Still able to use. She just needed to device a way to utilize them. With so many criminals running loose, and Bruce gone... well, she couldn't afford not to.
Regardless, the pain was consuming, paralyzing the rest of her quite effectively.
