Location: Gotham
Origin: DC
Play-By: Cillian Murphy
Height: 5'10"
Hair: Dark Brown
Eyes: Blue
Typical Clothing/Uniform: Crane's typically seen, when not locked up in Arkham, in a smooth, slick brown suit with a white dress shirt and black tie. Crane's always wearing his glasses as well. However this is where his normal outfit stops being normal. The suit might be sharp looking from afar but it is patched up and stitched with dark feathers & some straw on the shoulders and a few other places.
Powers/Abilities Crane holds an extreme knowledge of psychology & science with the ability to create fear gas from certain chemicals.
Team Affiliation: N/A
Personality: Crane's sick, pure and simple. His mind holds a twisted desire for knowledge and a thirst for discovery. However, the doctor's sadism knows no bounds when he performs his experiments on others. He's got sociopathic tendencies; a deadly mind devoid of remorse and empathy. He'd be just as fine experimenting on a human as a rat. He's obsessed with fear. Fear interests him to a point where it pleases him. It confuses and intrigues him when someone is immune to fear in general or fear of him. Crane's got a bit of insecurity tucked into himself due to childhood bullying but he buries it. He's insane. But that kind of charming insane where you'd almost agree with what he was saying to you.
Family: Mother, Grandmother (deceased), Great Grandmother (deceased) Father (deceased), half-brother.
Marital status: Single
History: Crane's life started horrible. He was nearly killed by his grandmother who's 16 year old daughter gave birth to the skinny, sickly baby early. His great-grandmother saved him from being buried in the back yard alive, however his torment was just beginning.
He was abused, physically and mentally by the elderly woman. The intelligent youth was barred from reading classics as his highly religious grandmother refused to allow him to read them. When he was caught doing things she disapproved of, Jonathon was taken to the shed where a trained pack of crows would attack him. Crane was also bullied by his fellow students very harshly. His only retreat became his books. Through this ordeal an idea was sparked in his mind. Fear was the motivator in everyone's life. Now he just had to figure out how to harness it.
He studied hard and got a full scholarship to Gotham University. However, he had one thing to take care of before he left for school. Using his grandmother's own crows against her he killed the old woman and buried her beneath the shed. He then went on to study psychology before getting an undergrad degree in it. He moved onto medical school where he gained a bit of an eccentric reputation for his student teaching. He once brandished a gun at his class to see what the reaction would be. However, he still earned his doctorate and happened to work his way up the ladder to be the head psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum.
However, experimenting on his patients, teaming up with criminals and running into the Batman got Crane locked up in his own nut house. The young man now escapes from Arkham when he can to carry out his experiments and do a little stealing on the side.
Sample Post: Blue orbs on the males narrowed as he peered towards the glass where Batman was staring at him. Wrapped up in the Arkham pajama attire, Crane was sitting on the cot they provided him. The cunning doctor was reminded of another doctor and detective, a suave eloquent man whom Crane would have just loved to meet if he were real. He grinned as Batman shouted at him. What was it he wanted? Oh right, the location of a girl Crane had kidnapped and hidden.
"I'm not sure," he pondered, "Do you keep track of every lab rat you put in a cage?" Batman's fist banged against the glass which caused the doctor to grin wildly in delight. He was getting a reaction out of the Batman. Oh how he'd have loved to take notes but alas they wouldn't allow him a pen or pencil.
