((January 23rd, in the Institute, open for all))
It'd been a couple days since the incident. The incident. Jakkie didn't like to talk about it. There wasn't much to say, she hadn't been in control so what was she supposed to do? Explain herself of her actions? Not quite. In any case she was still here. She wanted to leave... Having people know? It was humiliation like she never believed existed. And on top of it, Alec had spilled her little secret of how she kept herself safe at night. The asshole.
Now she was wandering freely. Kevin was off in a class or something. Jakkie refused to be around during that time, so she went and amused herself in different ways. Sometimes, she just slept. There wasn't a lot to do here and she was bored sometimes, but still. It was better than what she'd previously been doing. She'd never been able to relax like this before.
When she walked in the room, she hadn't expected to see anyone. Sometimes there were stray students. Like now. She saw the back of their head first, before she recognized him. Actually, it was his scent that gave him away. Past the smoke that was rising from his lit cigarette. She didn't question that he was smoking indoors. Instead, she stopped, becoming rigid.
Alec.
For a moment, she just stared, completely still. And then a wicked look flashed in her eyes, and she was standing behind the couch, looking down at him. Quietly, she leaned down, extending her tongue from her throat, and letting it slide up the back of his neck and across his cheek.
Keeping in mind that he had that weird touch control sort of ability, she was quick to bring it back. Didn't want him to think of anything quick and witty. So Jakkie stood up straight, to watch his reactions unfold now that she was clear of physical contact.

Pun aside that geometry was for squares, Alec had elected not to attend class. Normally he suffered the mind numbing lessons, since a few days ago he hadn't bothered. The anger made anything impossible to tolerate - he'd forced a kid to eat his own shoe for running into him the other day, self assured the brat wouldn't tell anyone since he physically couldn't.
The smoking had returned as well. Alec had stopped a couple years ago after her got over his mother being paralyzed, but now he just didn't give a shit. She wasn't around to worry over his health anyway, and the cigarette took away some of the aggravation.
Plus it was exceedingly satisfying to be smoking in one of the many lounges, picturing one of the teachers entering shrieking blood murder.
He'd specifically picked this one, where he could sit on the couch with his feet up on the coffee table, and look through the window at the gloomy day.
The tongue was slimy and shudder inducingly warm. Alec gagged, lurching forward and snarling, "Oh that's disgusting!"
He leaped to his feet, turning to glare at Jakkie, lurking on the other side of the couch. "Seriously, I think we've established your a bitch, are you seriously going to go around licking people? I'm sure we can find you a muzzle, if it makes you feel like your point is getting across."
Cursing under his breath, he wiped some of her saliva off his cheek. "Disgusting."

She let her tongue hang from her mouth, down to her chest to gross him out even further on purpose. As he spoke, she raised her brow in mock fascination to his insults, nodding childishly. And then the length of her tongue began sliding back into her mouth, making a gurgling noise as if she had to choke it down like a lizard devouring a meal.
She didn't have to. She just wanted to see if it'd make him throw up a little.
And then she wiped her own mouth clear of saliva. At the very least she hadn't used the paralyzing substance. All natural spit. Lucky him.
Towards the end of his rant about how disgusting and animal like she was, Jakkie merely shrugged. And in answer to going around licking people?
"I just don't like you." she admitted frankly. Nope. Not people. That luxury was reserved for him specifically.

"I don't think that's such a good fostering environment for mutant love and equality, don't ya think? I mean-shut UP-if you have hatred, what's the point of being here? They're trying to teach us-I said SHUT UP!- Y'know all that junk about equality but what exactly are we doing, y'know? Uh, you know your neck's all covered with spit? That's not healthy, you're going to get all germy."
The youth approached, rubbing his hand behind his head, ruffling his short hair. Dressed in ripped jeans, a worn t-shirt and a plaid very worn shirt over that, he looked a mess. The youth gave them a smile but even he could sense the tension. He walked closer, muttering to himself the while way.
"My name's Xander-like that guy from Buffy? Only I personally like to think I'm a little more attractive, right? Anyway, my last name's Bates, yes like Norman. That's where the codename came in, Psycho!" He lifted his hand and formed a few flowers in his hands before fizzling out.
"Damn, those were for the lady. Oh well. So what's your name? Names?"

"For someone who doesn't like me, you seem to keep showing up an awful lot." Alec sneered, face still peeled back in disdain at the noises. He moved further back from her to sit on the window sill, taking a drag of his cigarette. "I think you just pretend to hate me because I'm the only other person who doesn't belong here. I think your bored of your play thing already, and looking for a reason to stick around."
His attention diverted to Xander as he entered, clearly tweaking or lacking in drugs, Alec couldn't tell which. The mention of his neck made Alec grimace, and he wiped it with the back of his hand. Sopping wet. Gagging again, Alec stuck the cigarette in the mouth of a bust of Aristotle nearby and stripped off the black sweater he was wearing over top of a white shirt, mopping up the spit then throwing it at Jakkie. "Here, souvenir."
Plucking the cigarette back up he considered the new kid leerily. "More attractive in that 'I-like-pointy-things kind of way'. I'm Narcissus, that thing over there would be the Creature from the Black Lagoon. Personally I like Jekyll though."

"S'not my play thing." she disagreed dully, leaning on the back of the couch with her elbows and straightening out his back. It annoyed her more than she'd admit. She wanted to remain calm still, not give away that Kevin was now a soft spot for her. An easy access to pissing her off.
She was about to say something else pertaining to all the other horrible things she'd rather do than relate herself to him, when someone else entered. He was sketchy, and he annoyed her. She didn't make an effort to hide it, eyeing him up with particular distaste as he spoke. And then watched the flowers fizzle out.
For a moment all she could do was stare, looking between his face and his hand with a scrunched up nose and wide eyes in disbelief.
"You're serious...? You are serious?" she asked, before looking skyward and releasing a huff. This kid wasn't worth her time, so when he asked the first time she wouldn't give her name. Instead give Alec a particularly scathing glare. The shirt landed on her shoulder, but she brushed it off so it fell to the seat of the couch.
"Hey. Want to see how far I can spit? Or how long my tongue is?" she asked maliciously, before breaking out into a grin and tilting her head to the side. "I've got a hell of a reach, you wouldn't believe it!"

"Oh...I...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt anything intimate I-Shut up, I know, don't call me a moron, I know I shouldn't have said anything, shut up, shut up please." His eyes grew wide and glassy. His mother shouldn't have sent him here. She shouldn't have. He couldn't make friends here, clearly. He was too buzzed, too confused. He considered going back to his room despite actually coming out for fresh air. He stepped back slightly, biting his lip and digging his hands deep in his pockets. He shouldn't have played around with his powers, he shouldn't have.
"I'm sorry...I just wanted to...shut up please I know, I'm trying to be polite and apologize, I am...to make friends...I...never mind." He placed his hand on the side of his head and backed up on his heels. "S-s-sorry." He wasn't looking for sympathy, but his pathetic apologies and constant talking to the bully in his head, the youth looked as if he was. At least, that's the way he looked at it.

"No." Alec said flatly. "Want to see how many tries it takes for you to rip your tongue out of your skull?"
He scoffed at Xander. "Fool me once, buddy - this is not intimacy. Where are you going?"
Alec had a sudden desire not to be alone with Jakkie. He really had no desire to talk to her, anymore than he did Kevin. The pair were self-righteous knuckle-dragging cretins. This kid was a total head case. But he could be amusing.
Alec pulled his pack out of his pocket and shouted, "Catch!" Chucking it at the other boy. If h caught it, Alec would stare at him expectantly. The lighter was tucked inside - a plain silver, sleek and utilitarian.

Jakkie snorted when Xander suggested he'd interrupted something intimate and rolled her eyes. This kid. Funny kid. For a second, leaving crossed her mind. She really didn't like Alec at all to even continue a healthy conversation and it wasn't like she ever felt the need to protect people, so this twitchy kid was on his own ultimately. Cold as that was... But she wasn't lying when she said she didn't like Alec. And there was a determination to annoy him that she couldn't fully explain.
"Or how long it'll take for you to bleed out on the carpet..." she said in a lower voice. Subtly wasn't always her thing. In the end she cast a bored look to twitchy, whom Alec had thrown his pack to.
"Run while you can." she suggested in a purposefully cryptic voice, "He says I'm the monster... but wait until he tries to kiss you." without turning her head her eyes turned on Alec. "Truly terrifying."

The pack of cigarettes landed in Xander's hands with a thump of the packet on his palms. He lifted his head, unsure of why the other male threw the packet at him. He saw the glimmer of the brilliant silver, brightened on his palms.
Does he expect me to smoke these? How should I know? Just say something you little fucker. Can you not call me that? The silence is awkwardly hanging on the air, you fucktard, say something.
The boy lifted his head, lips parted slightly. "I don't smoke," he muttered, "It's a pretty lighter though. Silver." Dumbass. "Please shut up..." He lifted his head and smiled before turning to Jakkie.
"Kiss me?" He mumbled, "Uh, what's wrong with...what's going on guys? Are you sure I didn't...y'know...interrupt anything?" He twitched, thumbs over the packet, unsure of what to do.

Post by Serena "Saren" Quinn on Apr 3, 2013 17:10:33 GMT -5
Serena had nothing better to do. Sure, there was a class she was probably supposed to attend, but the mutant decided against going there. She didn't leave her small town just to go take classes. The dark haired teen walked into the room. Instantly, an eyebrow quirked upwards. A trio was the first thing her icy blue gaze hit. She muttered a curse under her breath. Mr. Rich and Famous was one of them. She could probably recall seeing the other male once or twice, though she didn't speak to him before. The other female, however, was someone completely unrecognizable for Sera. Maybe she needed to get out more often.
She made an audible groan. The room wreaked of cigarettes. Serena was quick to assume Alec had been smoking. She wasn't thrilled about the idea of cigarettes. To relax, she would often just trace the lines on her left arm to calm down. Right now, that would be a bit difficult, as she was wearing a full-sleeved jacket. She reached upwards to tame a few unruly strands of dark locks, tucking a chunk of hair behind her right ear. Something was odd about that trio. Something she intended to look into. She cautiously made her way over to the three teens. She glanced at the packet in Xander's hand.
"Mr. Glamourous must be hooking the students up with drugs," she mumbled, intending to be quiet enough only she could hear herself. She turned her gaze over to Xander. She spoke louder the next time around. "Oh, I wouldn't worry too much about interrupting anything. Everywhere Money Bags goes, he causes tension and problems. I'd assume he's irritated Snow White over here. And everyone else in this school he's met."
She looked around at the situation. The sweater on the couch. Cigarettes. Another person Serena assumed had issues with Alec. "Actually, what is going on here? I can't come in and relax while avoiding insert class here with this... I don't know, situation, issue, whatever, going on."

She snorted at Xander.
"If seriously wanting to injure someone is intimate then..."
Jakkie turned sharply, her pointed ears twitching as cold red eyes shifted to the other girl. She annoyed Jakkie. But... if she was being truthful? Everyone annoyed Jakkie to an except. Even Kevin, but in a more tolerable way. She couldn't even explain that one, and y'know. That annoyed her too.
In any case, she and this girl had something in common. They both seemed to have quite a distaste for Alec, at least by what Jakkie could see.
Everywhere Money Bags goes, he causes tension and problems. I'd assume he's irritated Snow White over here
"You bet he has, princess." Jakkie sniffed, returning the girl with a name of her own. Her eyes shifted darkly to Alec again, particular distaste and no attempt to hide it.
"Looks like you're real popular around here." she said in a low voice, raising her eyebrows sarcastically.

Ignoring Jakkie's threat wasn't hard - he'd already grown bored of their competition to sound menacing. He smirked at the kid warbling out his didn't smoke. What was that name again? Buffy?
Attention was drawn to Serena as she entered, having to work to keep the smirk casual. "Well, I was trying to wait for you to show up to seduce you of course, being my favorite lady, but then Jakkie came in and was stripping off my sweater, and poor Buffy-Boy walked in, so I offered him a smoke as compensation for seeing such a traumatic thing as She-Frog in action."
He threw up his hands helplessly. "I'm the victim here. Mind passing that back, pal? I need something to fend off the smell of desperation."
Alec was trained in suppressing his emotions on a visible level, so it didn't show when he noticed just how correct Jakkie was. Absolutely everyone in the annoying building he'd met abhorred him. He had no place here, no back up.
Maybe he'd have to do something about that later. There were plenty of weak minded people he could turn into toadies.
Still, he resented Jakkie being the one to make him think it.
"Well, at least I'm supposed to be here." He shrugged. "You don't even go to this school. Don't you have men to slut after, or are you trying to tell me your still fawning after He-of-the-No-Hand-Holding?"
