TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR CITY
Full Name: Ella Rachel O’Riley
Nicknames: Bug, Casper
Gender: Female
Age: 8 (Mind and body, she’s technically much older)
Sexual Orientation: Uh… can we not have people flirting with the 8 year old?
Location: New York
Origin: OC
Play-By: Mackenzie Foy
Height: 3’8’’
Hair: Light reddish blond, extremely curly. When she’s using powers, her hair gets stringy and lank looking.
Eyes: Dark brown when normal, when her powers are in affect the entire eye goes an orangey yellow which glows very faintly.
Typical Clothing/Uniform: Entirely unaware of her mutant side, Ella enjoys wearing dresses that are borderline Victorian looking. She wears a lot of white, and her favorite is a white dress with a skirt that poofs out with little red satin roses. Ella is absolutely never without a ribbon in her hair, which she likes to wear in a high ponytail though also sometimes in in braided pigtails. When she goes into her powers, her clothes become tattered looking, and her skin turns sickly grey green like she’s a corpse.
Powers/Abilities Ella’s ability is to create perfect copies of people. Doll like, these clones act how Ella perceives the person to be, their personalities often exaggerated. While the clones are solid, the hardship comes in that Ella takes on the eerie appearance of a dead child. Her appearance changes depending on the length she holds up the copies – it starts with her eyes changing color, but within ten minutes her skin will begin to discolor and her hair were fall limp and scraggly. These clones cannot be controlled by Ella beyond the fact they’re manifestations of how she sees people. If the person is in reality a mutant, the clone does not have their powers. She is permanently stuck in the age that her mutant abilities started, giving her longevity.
Team Affiliation: X-Men
Personality: Ella is extremely friendly, absolutely oblivious to the possibility of harm. Sheltered by her parents obsessively, she has no concept of fear or danger. She wants to make friends of everyone, is consistently cheerful, and enjoys braiding peoples hair – boys and girls both. She doesn’t understand her parents are dead, not understanding her powers, and so continues to think they’re ‘resting’ as Xavier explained it to her. She enjoys talking about them often, and habitually asks people about their parents.
Family: Richard O’Riley (father, deceased), Grace O’Riley (mother, deceased)
Marital status: S…single?
History: Ella was born to a pair of geneticists under military employ, part of a program to study mutants in the early interactions and how to turn them into ‘valuable assets’. When her abilities manifested themselves early on, the scientists quit their jobs and joined into a private firm in order to study their daughter, who they noticed over the years remained virtually the same. Ella lived a world of blood tests and brain scans, watching her parents grow older while she remained eight and blissfully unalarmed. When her mother failed to find a way to cure her, her father became obsessed with finding a way to protect her from a world often violently anti-mutant, in which she would never age.
In the end, Richard O’Riley utilized the military research to create a guardian for her. Taking a older mutant boy, Richard altered the boy to be physically compelled to watch over the clueless little girl. While it succeeded, they ultimately failed in finding a way to ‘cure’ her abilities. They grew old and passed away, and unable to understand Ella created them again, and continued living on the isolated farm house with her eerie protector and parent figurines until Xavier found her.
