(January 30th. Open to Jakkie & Kevin until...whenever.)
Kevin was doing three things at once.
He'd just showered, so he was standing in the middle of his room by his bed, still dripping wet from the shower with a gray towel around his waist. He was folding a few t-shirts, having just done the laundry. He also was keeping an eye on the glue drying on his most recent metallic sculpture. His hair was plastered to his face and he spent time trying to flick it out of his eyes.
He'd made Jakkie leave so he could shower. He was still iffy about that, the southern gentleman in him not able to get naked in a room where a lady was. So he'd at least sent her out, telling her she could stand in the hallway if she wanted, just to leave the room. His bare feet pressed into the metal of the floor. He briefly wished he could have felt the plush carpet some of the other rooms had but Kevin shook the feeling off immediately. Huffing, he continued to fold the laundry, taking the time to ponder something.
How did he truly feel about Jakkie?

She was sitting in the hallway, back against the cool metal door with her arms crossed and set on her knee's. Kevin had insisted she leave the room while he took a shower, something she supposed was her fault, making him even more wary about that sort of stuff. She imagined he had a lot to do with the shower she took on the first day she got to the school. It hadn't been a big deal to her anyways.
A couple kids had walked by, all taking a moment to give her glances out of the corner of their eyes as they passed. One girl stopped to gawk a bit, mumbling something to her friend about 'that weird girl... and the boy with the death touch...'
So Jakkie parted her jaws, tongue slipping out to writhe at them and released a feral hiss. The girls both released high pitches shrieks and sprinted off down the hallway. Jakkie snorted, somewhat amused, and then returned to her grumpy state.
"You almost done, ya prude?" she called, leaning her head back against the door. "The gawkers are converging." she informed him. He wouldn't have to spend long guessing it was her fault that girls were squealing in fear.

Kevin rolled his eyes. His relationship with Jakkie was growing casual, friends or something more, it didn't matter to him. He'd found someone to joke with (though he still had to walk on eggshells,) to play video games with, to hang out with on the quad and someone who wouldn't judge him. It made him smile just the thought of it as he folded another t-shirt.
"If they're bothering you just flip them off, you're good at that." He'd had more than one occasion of returning to a place where he'd left Jakkie and seeing her flip somebody off for staring or worse. He pushed back his hair with a hand, dipping his head towards the door.
"If the hallway isn't to your liking, m'lady, you can come back inside." Sure, it'd make him uncomfortable but he was almost done and it wouldn't hurt to have her see him without a shirt. Heh.

"Damned right it's isn't to my liking..." she grumbled irritably under her breath, staring down a younger student with a fixed glare the whole time. She stood, glowering at the back of the student as they glanced over their shoulder, before turning the knob and shoving the door open. And then shutting it behind her as she returned into the room.
She was surprised to see... well, his lack of shirt. He always made such a fuss about this sort of thing, so it had admittedly caught her off guard. She felt her cheeks tingle for a moment, but quickly regained herself.
Was he trying to make her uncomfortable? Jakkie could bat back a return for his attempt.
She made a point of looking him up and down, before whistling. And then she grinned.
"You know, you had me scared. I thought you were prude, Kevin." she threw herself down onto a chair without breaking eye contact. "Or maybe it's just lady parts that freak ya out." she teased.

"Har har, you're so funny." Kevin gave a roll of his green orbs, blinking towards the female, tossing his hair back out of his eyes again. "I need a haircut," he muttered. But his cheeks were blaring with the whistle on his ears. He was slightly skinny, not the buff man many of the Xavier students were because of their mutant powers and because of training and work outs. He turned towards Jakkie, staring at her crimson eyes. She was...wow Kevin, take a step back. He grinned, rubbing his hair and grabbing a t-shirt from the top of the pile. "Gimmie a minute, miss thing," he purred.
He marched into the bathroom and left the door cracked slightly. He was NOT a prude. He'd refuse to give into her accusations. Despite not being able to wipe the smile off of his face.

"N'give it a trim." she murmured dully, closing her eyes and leaning back in the chair to sit comfortably. She wasn't about to puff up in dust because he wanted a haircut. The topic of dying had become an increasingly casual thing for Jakkie, even without Kevin's mutation.
She opened a singular red eye when he practically purred at her, eyeing him up suspiciously, but otherwise snorted.
"Okay mister, okay." she replied in a mock sultry voice. And then he left the door open a crack.
"S'nooot gonna work." she hummed to herself, fighting back a childish grin. Kevin was out of his element with her. And all the things she'd done to survive? Heck. Jakkie figured he didn't stand a chance in this game.

"Yeah, you wish you could resist my charms." His voice held a sarcastic poison which accompanied his playful grin and roll his eyes. Boxers on, synthetic jeans on as well, kevin marched out of the bathroom. He would show he who was a prude. Tossing the towel aside on the bed, the emerald eyed youth stared down Jakkie. He was trying to assess her feelings. But he was never any good at reading people.
"I didn't know the stares and rumors bothered you," he huffed, "I'd thought you wouldn't mind being associated with the 'death touch kid'." He grinned, showing his words were a joke. He was prying though, unsure if she really was troubled by the words.

Jakkie turned the chair so she was sitting sideways, elbow on the back and chewing on her thumb as she assessed him equally in return. She wasn't going to play shy little bird, that wasn't her style. She'd give him a good look, then snort when he finished talking.
"Oh, it bothers me." she assured him in a mock offended voice, nodding and pursing her lips as if it were all absurd. "Having people know I like to hang out with such a loser.." she drawled out the last word, but it hadn't been said harshly. Even with her sarcasm, there was a particular placed fondness as she rolled her eyes and turned away, tucking her hands behind her head and heaving a huff.
But she was grinning.
