"Yeah. I got it," Darren said quickly. The less they brought up the subject of him being a demonic creature the devil himself crafted, the better. Then again, wasn't that the viewpoint on mutants too? Demons? Darren didn't think much of mutants one way or the other. Neutrality, one would call it. A side effect when it came to living to Gotham was a lack of exposure to mutants. Gotham was probably even more likely to grab the torches and bring out the pitchforks if a mutant were discovered there simply because it was much more rare. Good thing Darren didn't reveal his Canine identity to anyone in Gotham.
The werewolf watched as Rahne pushed herself to the ground, lying there with comfort. Had he been human, he would have chuckled a bit at the scene. That wasn't the case, so he kept his mouth shut. Instead, he only watched her rise once more, listening to her briefly mention her upbringing. Darren felt tempted to ask for more information, but he stopped himself.
Ye should come tae Xavier's!
What was Xavier's? It took a moment of thinking and blank staring for Darren to know what Xavier's was. His ear flickered a bit, as if it were going to help him know what it was. The werewolf finally remembered what the place was, or he just used context clues to assume the place was for mutants. He dug his fingers in the cold Earth, hazel eyes looking downwards as he thought to himself. He raised his gaze back to Rahne once he thought up an answer. "Alright. I'll trust you and check out Xavier's. Changes, for me, are sort of like a shot. Just a quick pinch and it's done."
