(OCC: January 4th. Afternoon/Lunchtime. Open to all. I apoligize for the lack of creativity for the restaurant name)
"Get things started guys, we all know this is where the big checks come in" Richard patiently told his waiters and waitresses as he started to check if all the lunch foods, menus, and items were being put out or ready. Richard was a man who had a job and was willing to do it well, if only to just pay his apartment bills. As he saw the hussle and bussle of his workers, he couldn't help but twindle his ankh necklace caressingly. God he missed her, he wished Casey was here to see the success he was making of himself. If it was one thing about his life he never wanted to forget, it was her and she probably would've loved this place. After all, italian was her favorite type of food. La Bella was something she could fit right into.
Then a person came in and wanting to distract himself, he went right to the customer. He may have been the manager but he could always welcome people. He beemed brightly and offered his hand "Richard Hughes, at your service. Welcome to La Bella. We always enjoy our customers picking this lovely place for their cusine"

((Thor is gonna break all of your mugs CX))
Thor had been exploring around New York City that day. His attire consisted of a dark gray t-shirt covered with a plaid shirt on top of that, boots, and a pair of jeans. It must have been Casual Friday. There wasn't much to do until lunchtime came rolling around. Thor was in no mood to be picky and choosy with what he was going to be eating for lumch that day. Where did the Asgardian decide to go? To the nearest restaurant, dubbed La Bella. Blue eyes scanned the restaurant as he opened up the door and stepped inside. He swept a few stray light strands of long hair away from his face as he entered. Almost instantly, he was greeted by a man when he was inside.
"Pleasure to meet you, Richard Hughes," Thor responded, grasping the hand the shorter man offered. It was human custom to do so, was it not? The blonde let go eventually, ready to sit down and choose a meal to satisfy his hunger. He had no idea if this place was any good or not. He just wanted to eat something. Thor was not known for having a small appetite. At all.

((And suddenly...a wild OC appears!))
Times Square was busy as always as Emily meandered her way through it. By now she was adept at weaving her way through the hustling crowds, her grey eyes flicking around and examining everything around her. She'd only arrived in New York and everything still seemed big (well, bigger than London anyways) and new to her.
Her stomach gave a loud rumble, reminding her that she hadn't eaten since lunchtime the day before. She knew it wasn't heathly or smart to skip meals like she was doing but she a0 low on money and b) currently looking for a place to stay which took up a good chunk of her time. Sacrificing a meal here and there didn't seem important in the long run.
She ducked into the closest restaurant she spotted dubbed La Belle and had to side-step the two men who were greeting each other. She had no desire to socalise with anyone and quietly slid into an empty booth.

(OCC: And snatchin' yo pancakes. PLEASE order pancakes! XD)
Richard did not want to leave the man. He felt obligated to talk to him. A waitress was going over to the woman who passed them anyway so Richard didn't need to worry about her. Besides, the blond man looked familiar. Richard was admittedly curious and he decided to talk to the man he introduced himself to a bit more. As the blond man released his hand, Richard slightly pointed at him and responded, unaware of the man supposedly being kept in hiding "Haven't I seen you somewhere before? You look familiar. Like someone on the news or something"

Just as Thor was ready to sit down and order whatever meal was offered here, the human appeared to recognize him. Sky blue eyes looked down upon the man, pondering what to say in reply. The Asgardian gave a shrug before speaking, crossing his arms against his torso. "I hear of that a lot. I assume I have... one of those faces?" Thor responded, not entirely sure if his statement was believable. He'd just have to hope so. "I also realize I'm rather tall, therefore I could be a bit more... noticeable around town. Perhaps you've seen me travelling around this city."
Thor glanced back for a moment, noticing a young woman came in after him. One could easily say he was jealous that she was already getting served. Just a bit longer, and Thor himself could sit down as well. He would then demand an Earthly delicacy to please his stomach.

"Yeah probably" Richard commented, seeing Thor was getting slightly off-edge and wanting to take a seat. Richard's mind-reading skills gave him a lot of observation so he decided to let the man go take a seat. That and the man looked pretty butch and it may have been wise to get on his good side anyway. Richard then turned to see a empty seat nearby and responded "Sorry to keep you up. I'm just someone who likes to talk. We can keep talking once you find a seat if you wish"

Almost as soon as she had sat down, a waitress approached her. Emily quickly ordered the first thing off the menu and watched as the woman scuttled away. When she'd disappeared, her grey eyes scanned the restaurant for something interesting and fell on the two men she'd ide-stepped earlier.
Emily watched the two men out of the corner of her eye, she recognised the large blond one. He's been all over the news back in London. Something to do with aliens attacking New York or something like that. From what she remembered he helped save the city with a group known as the Avengers.
So when he looked at her, she stared back, daring him to comment.

"Ah, I see." The Asgardian nodded and took a nearby empty seat that happened to be fairly close to the young woman that recently arrived. Thor thought about what he wanted to order briefly. What feast could be given to him? A meal consisting of Earth food, obviously. There was one specific lunch that Thor would absolutely love to eat, now that he thought about it. It would be the most amazing thing in the world if he was served that specific meal. He sat in his booth, feeling a bit lonely due to the emptiness of the booth, despite Richard still being quite close.
Blue eyes stared upwards at Richard now. "I would greatly appreciate it if I was served those flat, fluffy discs. What's the name? Right, pancakes. A stack of those would be fitting as a meal today." Thor obviously didn't realize it was an Italian restaurant. Who in their right mind would be making pancakes at an Italian restaurant? Absolutely no one, surely.
It was then he noticed the woman had looked back at him. He glanced back at her again. He felt a need to say something. "Do you recognize me as well, miss? Many people, especially women, seem to stare at me constantly. Perhaps you'd like to join in on this conversation?"

Richard would've been lying if he thought that what Thor called pancakes "flat fluffy disks" as well as ordering it wasn't odd. Immediately, he knew something was up and Richard absentmindedly traced of where he has seen that man before. Then he commented to the young woman who was there, Richard took one look at her and saw her as normal so her joining in wouldn't bother him at all.
Then he got back to his first thoughts, why would he have pancakes here? Thor didn't know that? He could only assume either he wasn't from around here or he was pulling his leg. Richard nevertheless kept his smile and responded "We don't serve pancakes here. However, we have pizza and other things that may keep up your appetite" He couldn't help but chuckle a bit "You new here in new york?"

Well, she hadn't expected that. What Emily had expected was something along the lines of 'why are you staring at me, loser not an invite to join them. Also, the way the blond spoke threw her off. It sounded as if he was from the wrong century, his speach pattern was very antiquated for 21st century New York.
And she, as a time traveller, knew immediately that something was up with him.
She stood and slid into their booth beside the darker haired man, he didn't pique her interest as much as the blond did. He seemed ordinary enough and so she didn't bother much with him. Her attention was focused solely on the blond because there was something off with him that she couldn't place her finger on.
"Yeah. Sort of....and you know they probably stare because you're like a wall of muscle." she declared, fully aware of how alien her own English accent sounded "You look like you could crush someone by looking at them."

Oh? They didn't serve pancakes? That was disappointing. Although, Thor was interested in what Richard mentioned. Pizza. He supposed he could tolerate pizza. With another shrug, he supposed he could try a pizza. "Then I shall order a pizza," he announced, resting his hands on the table in front of him. When he heard if he were new to the city, he figured he was. His first encounter with Earth was in New Mexico, then he spent his next encounter mostly in a giant aircraft. He came to New York when he was fighting against the alien invasion, but seeing as how the only place he actually went to was that Schwarma joint, he was technically considered new to the city. "One could say that I'm new."
Then the young woman came on over and slid into the booth. She had an interesting way of speaking. She had some form of an accent that told Thor she must have been a foreigner. Compared to everyone else Thor had met, her speech was different. He chuckled at her declaration. "Perhaps you are right. Compared to most around here, I am quite large and muscular. Those traits seem to be a scarcity around here."
Then again, Thor did have an advantage when it came to muscle. He was a god. Being a god sort of had quite a few advantages. Totally hip speech was not one of those advantages.

How in the holy hell he'd gotten into New York City was anyone's guess but the doctor was just out for a holiday away from the city. Nothing malicious, nothing evil, just a nice walk around New York City to drink in the fear of the city. As a nice lyric from a rather well made musical would say: "I'm a New Yorker, Fear's my life."
A smile was on his face as he entered the quaint little restaurant, briefcase in his hand. Anyone who hadn't seen a Gotham Gazette Newspaper or seen a documentary on Biography (and if they had, they'd be wise to keep their traps shut as he was carrying a substantial amount of fear toxin in that subtle little briefcase) they would see him as a young doctor who may have been stopping off for a little food before returning to work.
He stood at the front, dead eyes fixed on the room, and waiting for someone to seat him.

Emily's expression quirked into a smirk at Thor's words "I'm always right." she told him confidently "And get used to that. The only people built like you around here are professional athletes and those Jersey Shore idiots."
The sound of the door opening caused her to look around. The man standing there was thin with dark hair and a cold dead stare that would have caused the hair on a lesser person's neck to stand on end. But she wasn't a lesser person. She wasn't afraid of anything but his dead stare did cause her to take notice of him. She knew how to spit someone out of the ordinary.
She looked away quickly, making a mental note to keep her eye on him in the future. He didn't look like he could be much of a threat, definitely not a threat like the Asgardian sitting in front of her, but she knew he could be dangerous all the same.
"By the way, I'm Emily." she said, offering her hand to Thor "Emily Clearwater."

Clearly Thor was now talking to Emily and not him. And clearly she was talking to Thor. Richard in his absentmindedness then noticed Dr. Crane. And boy did that put the hairs in the back of his neck stand up. Richard had been in New York for a time but he heard quite a lot about the doctor from random conversations he listened to boredly. Also the physic vibe from Dr. Crane was fully fuctional and unlike emily and thor, who's physic connections were calm, Dr. Crane's wasn't. This screamed trouble.
Despite this, Richard didn't want a problem. So he politely excused himself, went to a waiter(Telling the waiter to get Thor's order and quickly), passed the waitress who was getting Emily's order. And went right to Dr. Crane with a well-acted smile. Richard offered his hand and responded "Welcome to La Bella sir. I'm the manager Richard Hughes, I apoligize for keeping you waiting"

Male blinked a couple of times, letting the fear of the maitre de before him wash over him like a hot shower. The corners of his mouth flicked into a charming smile as he lifted his head calmly. The doctor had charm, poise, and unless he was on a psychotic break, was quite pleasant to look at. He briefly glanced at the girl who was speaking to the hulking blonde before turning back to the man.
"It's not a problem," he purred, "I wasn't waiting long." He tilted his head to the side and offered a little bit of a more soothing smile. "Don't worry, Mr. Hughes. I don't bite."
